Aim :
In order to provide social security and financial assistance to cured leprosy patients, the State Govt. have a scheme for rehabilitation of cured leprosy patients.

Implementing Agency funded by State Govt.

• Hind Kushta Nivaran Sangha (HKNS) and Dayashram, Cuttack.

These 2 organisations are imparting vocational training to cured leprosy patients in different trades.

Financial support :

• Financial assistance is being provided by the State Government to these organisations for maintenance of the trainees.
• During 2006-07 Annual Plan,  Rs.10.00 lakhs has been proposed under the State Plan .

NGOs funded by Govt. of India

Government of India are also providing financial assistance to some NGOs for providing vocational training for rehabilitation of cured leprosy patients.  6 such Centres are functioning in the State.
